Teacher Professional Development – STEMology – Basic Electronics & Computer Integration

Mississippi Robotics continues its offerings of Teacher Professional Development Education. This year we offering a frequently requested class in Basic Electronics.  Teachers will learn the basic elements of an electronic circuit and how to adapt the circuit for different situations.  They will also learn basic soldering techniques.  Practical use will be discussed for applications such as lights, motors, robotics, and science.  We will use the MakeyMakey product platform to apply this knowledge to create and invent projects that combine tactile materials in the classroom with computer programming.  Students will become hardware engineers and solve real world design problems.  This class is for STEM, Math, Science, Physics teachers and Elementary teachers that want a simple project to introduce students to STEM.  CEU credits ( .6 ) will be offered.
