“Virtual Reality in Education and Industry”
Announcing our 5th annual STEM Teacher’s & Industry Trainer’s Conference. The dates will be February 24th – 25th, 2023. The location will be Nissan Training Center – Canton.
The conference will be limited to 125 teachers. Friday and Saturday schedule will be 9am – 3pm. Check-in Friday/Saturday 8am-9am.
Our Keynote Speaker will be Amber Coeur, President/CEO of Lobaki. Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality are quickly being adopted by industry, health care professionals and educators as the means to improve workforce training. Come and experience it for yourself and learn firsthand what this revolutionary technology is all about.
Sessions: Nine speaker sessions are planned. Topics include Employable skills, What is VR and Augmented Reality?, Can VR be used for traditional teaching?, VR Headsets or full stations? VR in industry? Panel Discussion on “VR in Mississippi”, Soft Skills, Machine Learning (AI) and much more. The Conference fee is $95.
We will continue our development and discussion of the Employable Skills Set for K-12. Employable Skills are industry recommended skills we need to teach our students. These skills can be threaded into any STEM-related curriculum. All attendees will receive a Student Employable Skills Checklist so you can start assessing your students in these areas.
.5 to 1.3 Professional Development CEU’s for Teachers are offered. Attend 5 or more sessions and complete the evaluations. $25 to be paid to MSState for certification.
Lunch provided both days by Nissan
After each speaker session we will have a drawing for a STEM prize.
