STEM Teacher Training – Invitation Only – Friday March 13 OR Sat March 14th, 2020
This year we are looking for STEM Teachers (K-12) from Rural Mississippi. If you are new to STEM or experienced please join us. As you will see below we are offering lots of benefits and encouragement to you.
Congratulations, please apply to be approved to attend a STEM Teacher’s Training Class on Friday March 13 (Full) OR Sat March 14th, 2020 at the Nissan Training Center in Canton, MS. This training is intended for teacher’s that need to improve their skills in teaching STEM, to learn about some new projects, to learn some resources, and to discuss STEM with other teachers. As a participant you will receive all of the following at no-cost:
- One day free high quality training, 8:30am – 4pm. $75 value.
- Paid .7 CEU’s if you need them. We will pay for the certificate from MSState. $25 value
- Three free STEM project kits to take with you. $30 value
- 3D Printing Demo & Discussion.
- VIrtual Reality (VR) Demo & Discussion.
- A free competition day on Sat April 18th for up to 3 of your students. This will be held at Nissan in Canon. $30 value
- A copy of “Robotics: Does it motivate rural students to go to college?” by Ray Holt, University of Mississippi, 32 pages. This you will be able to download.
- Free entry to the 5th Annual STEM Teacher’s – Industry Conference on March 27th – March28th. Theme: Virtual Reality in Educaton and Industry. Lunch Included. $95 value
- Free copy of Beginning STEM Robotics Workbook – 12 lessons. This you will be able to download. $75 value
- Free copy of Ray Holt’s autobiography, The Accidental Engineer, on the World’s First Microprocessor is available. Given to you during the class. $20 value
